Chelsea earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law. She participated in intra-school moot court and mock trial competitions. Chelsea also received her third year bar card and worked in the Civil Practice Clinic helping low-income individuals navigate legal issues.

Chelsea has lived in Houston for almost three years now, despite once telling herself she’d never again live in a hot and humid climate. Having fallen in love with Houston shortly after moving here, she began to look for ways to give back to her community. Chelsea found the perfect way to give back in the form of Night Court, a 501(c)(3) organization of lawyers entertaining for charity. Each year, the Night Court acting troupe of lawyers and judges in the greater Houston area come together to write, produce, and preform a musical comedy at the Hobby Center. All of the proceeds from the show are donated to local area legal charities who provide low-cost or free legal services to individuals in the Houston area. In its 27 years, Night Court has donated over one million dollars to some amazing charities, and will continue to do so for hopefully many many years to come.
